Eligibility for Company Secretary:

A candidate is required to undergo three stages of the course on company secretaryship to become a certified Company Secretary, and the stages are:

·  Intermediate Course

·  Final Course

Foundation Course:

The eligibility criterion to get enrolment to the Foundation Course is that the candidate must be at least 10+2 or its equivalent in any stream. This first stage is of 8 months duration.

Intermediate Course:

Only after qualifying the Foundation stage of the ICSI/Graduation degree or a Master’s degree/Pass in ICWAI, ICAI, you become eligible to get enrolment to the intermediate course which is of 9 months duration.

Final Course:

Those who qualify even the Intermediate level become eligible to go for the Final Course. And once you pass the final stage, you will have to undergo a practical training session of 1-2 years under a qualified Company Secretary practising for a long time or with a Company to be eligible for the Associate Membership of the Institute.
